What we can and cannot do

We are an independent information website, not a travel agency, tour operator or government office. We cannot issue visas, make bookings, find relatives, recover money sent to scammers or act on your behalf with Ghanaian authorities.

For visas, contact the Ghana High Commission in London or use the official e-Visa portal; see Ghana visa from the UK. For emergencies in Ghana, British nationals should contact the British High Commission in Accra.

What we welcome

  • Corrections: prices, opening times and rules change. If something on this site is out of date, tell us and we will check and fix it.
  • Your experience: visa timings, airport arrivals, a hotel that has closed, a fort that has reopened. Dated, real reports help the next traveller more than any official notice.
  • Photo and footage licensing: for publishers, schools and businesses; see Ghana in pictures.
  • Media and research enquiries about Ghana's heritage, tourism and history.
A warning: we never ask anyone for money by email, phone or social media, and we have no agents. If someone claims to represent GhanaNet.co.uk and asks you for payment, it is a scam.
